Have you heard about HangApp?

HangApp lets you end your call by putting the phone on its face. Very easy - very intuitive.

Imagine your smartphone is the earpiece of a desk phone. You just put it “back” in its place, only it's not really tied to a place. You can put it down anywhere – on your desk, on your bed, or even on the back of your hand, and the call will disconnect.

This is how it works: HangApp on YouTube

Wearing gloves while on the phone? Hands are wet and you can't touch that screen? No more looking for disconnect buttons, no need to touch the screen or even LOOK at it (!) when you simply want to end your call.

The new version of HangApp was just released, and now you can also choose from various HangApp sounds, that will notify you the call got disconnected.

The app also gives you the option to recommend it on Facebook or Twitter, and then you get an additional, free sound, called “Ocean”, placing on the beach when you are sitting at your office desk... All you have to do is put the phone on its face, listen to the waves, and relax... :-)

AppQ (the developer) invites you to download this intuitive and easy-to-use app,
and start enjoying a smarter phone, that does the work of hanging up for you.

Download HangApp from the Android Market here.

Visit the AppQ Website, for more useful apps.

Hi there,
I'm currently using an SGS2 and am severely missing a HW keyboard.
I've been giving consideration to the Milestone/Droid 3 as an option, but there seems to be a vast array of models to choose from.
To my understanding the Droid 3/Milestone 3 are essentially the same device, with different naming only, being used for various markets.
Can someone advise which handset (model) would be the best bloatware free, non branded one to go for if I'm using a Telstra NextG sim?

any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Does anyone know how to do this or know where I can find a step by step guide?

Freshly ported to Live Connected today from Virgin. Both use Optus network, but whilst data worked fine before, now it doesn't. Have changed to the following config, as directed by LC, but no luck

http://ausdroid.net/apns/#optus

One difference I notice is that that config specifies: MMS Protocol (Android 2.1+): WAP 2.0 but my phone does not have a MMS Protocol option. Could this be the problem?

Any ideas anyone? (Have already looked at LC's knowledge base and their cusomer service takes 48 hours apparently)
Thanks!

Thanks!

Hey guys first time here on the forum!

As the title says I am quite interested in an Android phone which I will intend on buying soon. My budget is around $300 and I know my self that the price range is not for the latest specs... hehe But anyways I have been doing some research and I find that the Nexus S is my choice via Vodafone and having it unlocked or some have said "is" already unlocked. Im here to ask you guys on your opinions and to show me some other models around this price range. As I am quite familiar with technology I understand that it advances way too quickly causing the latest models to drop in price. Therefore are there strong competitors that will most likely come out in the near future that would cause the latest to drop in price? Im just looking for something that may future-proof myself but otherwise I am definitely fine with this Nexus

Thank you guys in advance!

Hi there,

I made the mistake to upgrade my wife's Galaxy S via Kies and despite being on Virgin Mobile, I got v2.3.3 with Optus. It's loaded with rubbish apps,..., left, right and center!

Internet and MMS are not working, but that's another issue...

So I was wondering if you could help me by sharing the steps required to clean up all the Optus apps.

I am an Android newbie, and my wife did not really appreciate that I used her phone as a practice toy. Hold the line! so any help appreciated.

in advance, many thanks for your answers.
