Hey just wondering if anyone has picked one up yet and how is it going?
Any problems or maybe something you didn't expect in a good way?

After having one for a week, I honestly liked it.

As bad as Touch Wiz is, the phone was very, very nice.

I'm pretty keen to check out the Galaxy s, sounds like the best phone currently available in AU.
Motorola Droid X would be nice to see down under as well.

Things I don't like about the Galaxy s ( as someone who has as yet never seen one in the wild, but has been reading up like any good Android phone junky should ) It looks too much like an iPhone, feels to light and fragile would be better in aluminum or light metal rather then cheap plastic.
Other then that the specs look good, screen should be great, performance good and better when it gets 2.2 froyo.

I've just got a hold of a unit to have a play with for a while. I'm going to use it as my main phone and see how well it stakes up against my iPhone 3GS (i know, i know Rolleyes

) Seeing as though this handset doesnt have a very iPhone-ish UI about it, i'm interested to see how it performs, especially seeing Buzz was quiet critical of the Touch Wiz UI.

i went down to the Optus store at the crn of Collins and Elizabeth st in Melbourne and they told me they wont be getting any till late next week and they dont think they will get a demo unit for a little while.
Any one know a store im melb that has them?

Allphones stores i heard received demo units, but stock is an issue, i do know that.

Does Optus know they only have a 1 month exclusive on this baby? They better hurry up.

I think it's an issue with Samsung not having the stock more then Optus' fault, but time will tell hahahah, bring on Virgin i say
