Threaded Mode | Linear Mode

Ok so sometime in the next two months I am going to be upgrading my phone and I have narrowed down my selections to the HTC sensation and the Samsung galaxy s 2.

Both phones are very similar in spec .. but the galaxy s2 has way more on board storage. But I am betting the sensation will have a more solid build feel to it as it will not be plastic.

Any thoughts or opinions either way?

Honestly,
It's pretty much down to look. As you said, the spec's are much the same. so do you like TouchWiz or Sense better? Of course this does not matter if you are going to use a different launcher like LauncherPro or something.

For me, I would choose the Galaxy S2. Only because I have the Galaxy S and love it so much. So really, it comes down to look. That's all you need to base your decision on.
well, that and price I guess. Will you be buying outright or on a plan? If outright, go for the cheaper. if on a plan, will your provider sell both? if they only sell one it makes your decision a little easier.

after watching the video of the sgs 2's UI on gsmarena I am pretty sure I will be going with the sgs2 .. I have the galaxy s as well and have been mostly happy with the phone aside from its off and on lag issues.

I wonder if it will be just on optus for the first little while or if telstra will pick it up .. as I am considering switching from optus to telstra.

I know optus are releasing it on the 1st of June. My friend has already Pre-ordered his.
I'm pretty sure it's coming to Telstra soon after that. It is a quadband phone after all so Telstra would be stupid to not pick it up.

From what Buzz has said, the SGS2 has NO lag issues at all. And you'd want to bloody hope not considering it has dual 1.2ghz cores. It is a fantastic phone Buzz still doesn't like TouchWiz4 but to be honest. I've been running TW4 on my SGS for a month now and I actually like it. I changed from LauncherPro to TW4... haha.

That review was great .. confirmed a lot of my thoughts on the htc not having more onboard memory.

The SGS2 is looking more and more like the way to go for me.

the one thing that really stuck out to me is the picture of the two phones side by side with their benchmark score. i dont care so much for the score but look at the colours, and the blacks. That superAMOLED plus looks amazing
