Xperia X10 battery life

Just thought I'd let you guys know that my X10 is finally flashing it's red LED saying it needs a charge. Nothing surprising here.

The surprising part is that it's been almost 9 days since I took it off the charger. I'm impressed.

I did pretty occasional browsing. But before the update the phone would go flat within 2 hours without any use. SE have finally fixed it, and fixed it well.

That is SERIOUS fix!!!!!

Hey Buzz,

Which update are you referring to? Did you manage to grab 2.1 or some other software update recently?

I noticed an OTA software upgrade popup in my notification bar last week - excitably I thought hooray 2.1 is here early! Alas I tried and it kept timing out so unsure what exactly its trying to do.

Ahh I think its just a Firmware upgrade - I've just gone from R2BA016 to R2BA026. It tried to OTA update but always timed out. As soon as I tried it via PC Companion it worked like a charm.

I'm hearing from 016 to 026 is some major improvements on battery, performance etc. I'm liking the new backup feature and they seem to be introducing some customization to the themeing in Timescape (hey its a start!). Also has much improved keyboard - on 016 it was pretty horrible but now 026 looks to be fantastic. Job well done SE on that part as it was a major gripe with everyone.

Will see how the battery goes but hopefully it starts to last alot longer.

Now lets bring on Android 2.1 SE
