Am I an Android tragic?
Waiting for 3.1 on my Acer A500 and 2.3.4 on my Galaxy S.

How often is too often to check? Big Grin

What are you waiting for?

Cheers.

Pete

RE: Am I an Android tragic?
I get a new phone every 11 months .. its sooo worth it to pay extra to be on a one year contract.

petedee : no harm in checking as much as you want .. thats half the fun.

petedee - On your Galaxy S - if you really want it badly then download it and install it.

I'd not bother waiting on the local providers to supply it - not this year given their track record.

RE: Am I an Android tragic?
I am with Virgin and they were not to bad with 2.2 for the SGS, 3.1 has to come from Acer though, no idea how good they will be..................

I really would like to upgrade them both manually but after bricking my SGS when I rooted it last time I have become very patient.

Cheers.

Pete

RE: Am I an Android tragic?
Well there is another thing you can do...just buy a Nexus one. That way you're always ensured that u get a fast rollout of the latest version of Anroid. Manufacturer tend to take a way way longer time since they have priprietary UI ( which sucks apart from HTC sense) or apps ( which again sicks -motoblur anyone?) to take care of...With a new phone becomming old news every 2 or three months, you might just think its better getting a new phone instead of going through the trouble of the updates...
