Acer Aspire One D260
Dual boots both Windows 7 and Android 2.1
I'm not a massive Netbook fan, but for people who are, it sounds alright. Quote:

RE: Acer Aspire One D260
This looks promising if only for the fact that Android will be made available to us to install on our own netbook

RE: Acer Aspire One D260
What does this mean for me if I purchased the netbook but do not have an Android handset? I have been shopping around for a netbook & have thought that this Aspire One looked quite nice.

RE: Acer Aspire One D260
It just means that the netbook itself boots into either windows or Android, which means you choose which os you are going to use each time you turn it on. It has nothing to do with what phone you have.

RE: Acer Aspire One D260
Picked one of these up a couple of weeks back. It's a rock solid little netbook but the Android side of it is utterly pointless, no Market, no Google Apps (Gmail etc) and no way to get either on there.
I'm using it as a demo/testing machine for work and the dual core atom is pretty snappy. For the last week and a half it's been put in to service by my GF while she waits for her building to reopen after the floods. As far as netbooks go, it's a great buy just not for the Android bit. |

RE: Acer Aspire One D260
Nah, I didn't but from what I've read it probably wouldn't work. Even if it did work, without Market access I didn't see much point using the Android side, so I haven't booted into it.

RE: Acer Aspire One D260
you got 3 years out of a netbook .. thats a very good run .. I'd go buy a new one .. or go for a tablet with a keyboard instead.
