SOE for Droid phones
Hi guys,
Very new to the forums (So G'day) just checking out the place, new to the droid world. Purchased a S2 the other day, very happy to say the least. I work in IT and we are currently rolling out droid phones to the front end users. When we get the phones in from Telstra, they come with a lot of apps that are un-wanted, and removing them and organising the phones to a standard operating environment is a timely task. We also remove the calendars and email widgets and move things around to a specific standard. Is there an app or anything to use, to set up to our standard and run to automate this. The phones are the desire and the S2. Thanks in advanced, Cade. |

RE: SOE for Droid phones
What you want to do is image your phones.
Same as when you map a standard image package across a whole series of PCs. This is essentially what people are doing when they install a custom rom on their phone - they're installing an image which someone else has created. You could talk to william from the forums here - he's made a kick-arse rom for the Galaxy S1 The other place I'd look is the XDA forums - http://forum.xda-developers.com Of course there is that whole 'rooting your phone' issue - but if you're removing pre-installed apps then you may have already rooted the phones. ![]() Miui Scotland - Weekly V4 |
