LG optimus 2x

now that LG optimus 2x has been out for awhile have alot of the bugs been fixed.i am looking to get my first smartphone and this one looks pretty good.

how much do you want to spend? i personally would get the SGSII or the Galaxy Nexus

up to $55 i like the SGSII but its to big.i have been looking at the galaxy s as well i am mainly going to use the phone for text and talk.when checking out reviews on phones they all have there problems is the lag problem on the galaxy s that bad with the factory software.i really don't now which handset to get my brother reckons i should get the iphone 4s.only want a phone up to 4 inch screen

there is no lag on mine but im running and Ice cream sandwich build at the moment (4.0).
i know samsung fix all the lag problems with a 2.3.3 update and after but im not 100% sure what carriers have pushed out what updates, who are you looking at going with?
if you wanted to go cheap, $29mth then i would say go for the nexus s its a touch better than the SGS.
you say now that you will only use it for talk and text but once you get it you will find you start using it for lots more things like maps, quickly looking things up, games when stuck somewhere for 10mins and lots more.
there is a lot of phones out there and if your not tech crazy and want the newest and best the best way to go is find what plan you really need (not just want to get a phone) and what carrier is best for you. what your friends are on for free calls and signal. then look at what phones are on offer

i got the samsung nexus s on $35 a month with 2 gb a month data from crazy johns on the vodafone network its a great phone.
