Ok so in a month or so I wanna buy a tablet ..
despite having a house full of macs now I would still never buy an ipad .. when it comes to my mobile devices I will always stick with android. So now the intense research begins .. I know I wont get the galaxy tab because its already to old. So I'm holding out for a quad core tablet .. thoughts .. opinions .. ideas? petegraham.com bnecoffee.info Current Phone: Samsung Galaxy S2 / 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich Previous Phone: Samsung Galaxy S / Froyo Forum destroyer of spam. |

RE: My official tablet hunt begins ..
i think at the moment you cant go past the Transformer Prime. it looks slick and Asus has had good support so far. the only thing i dont like is there is no USB port on the tablet just on the dock.
but what do you want it for? we have an Ipad and a Tegra 2 android tablet and we use them both just to browse the web and the Gtablet to watch catch up TV (as its in flash). that being the casee i would get the older tablet for $300 Samsung Galaxy S: CM9 Viewsonic G tablet: Gtabcomb 3.2beta iPad 2 |

Well .. I want it to mainly use for preaching from at church .. its much easier then doing it from a smartphone or a laptop .. so it doesn't have to do much but I do want it to have a decent chip and at least 32gb memory.

RE: My official tablet hunt begins ..
personally i would say save $200+ and just go with a Tegra2 tablet.
the only thing that might be a real winner from tegra3 is standby time. (This is if your not going to use it for games) but id say just go play with a few of them that are out and see if you like how they run. most honeycomb tabs have a microSD card slot so its easy to up it to 32gb+ Samsung Galaxy S: CM9 Viewsonic G tablet: Gtabcomb 3.2beta iPad 2 |

Yeah there are a lot of tegra2 tablets out there. Just about all honeycomb tablets are tegra2. If you can wait till around January some time when the tegra3 tablets start coming out you will save a bit.
