Annoying startup/shutdown sounds
I have just bought a Samsung Galaxy Mini as my first smartphone.. I am with with Optus but the phone is a Boost phone and as a result has Boost Live appearing on the home screen (which doesn't annoy me too much) but what is really annoying me is the annoying Boost start up and shut down sound that shouts "Boost mobile, where you at!?" at me when I turn the phone on or off..
On my previous phone (Nokia) there was an option to turn this off, but there doesn't seem to be one on my Galaxy Mini.. Can anyone help? I have heard of using an app like Silent Boot or App Assistant but was wondering if there was another option |

RE: Annoying startup/shutdown sounds
I think that your only answer is to root your phone.
I'm not certain but I think that is the only way to have the access to those settings. You may well have to flash a new rom to actually get rid of it. I might be wrong but I doubt it. ![]() Miui Scotland - Weekly V4 |

RE: Annoying startup/shutdown sounds
Root my phone? That sounds a bit rude
![]() Well, I will do some more research and see if I can find out more about rooting phones.. |
