Galaxy MMS settings help!!!!
Hi I was wondering if there was anyone who can help me.... I have a Samsung Galaxy S which was locked to Vodaphone I have had it unlocked as I am with Telstra but I can't get the MMS to work (can't send or receive) everything else works fine, SMS and internet. I followed the instructions SMSed and on their website by Telstra to set it all up but it still wasn't working, I have recently been to the telstra shop to ask them to help, they tried the settings the knew to put in but it still will not work. Can anyone help with this problem.

Courtesy of whirlpool http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1697188 :

Spotted this on Mobicity, http://support.mobicity.com.au/entries/5...ndroid-2-2 can't confirm myself if this is correct:

The current Android 2.2 level of software in use on the Samsung i9000M requires a special, combined APN in order to have MMS work correctly with the internet.

Go to Settings -> Wireless and network -> Mobiles Networks -> Access Point Names

Click the Menu button and select reset to defaults so that all existing APN's are deleted.

Click the Menu button and select New APN.

Enter the following settings:

Name: Telstra Internet
APN: Telstra.wap
Proxy: 10.1.1.181
Port: 80
Username:
Password:
Server: wap.telstra.com/wap
MMSC: http://mmsc.telstra.com:8002
MMS Proxy: 10.1.1.181
MMS Port: 80
MCC: 505
MNC: 01
Authentication Type: CHAP
APN Type: internet + mms
