Who updates the Galaxy Nexus

Hello i have the new Galaxy Nexus is there anyway to get a list of who updates the galaxy nexus?

for example my Galaxy Nexus is a yakjuzs so who updates my device?

Samsung but it has to be approved by your network first.
It's pretty easy to convert your phone to yakju & get your updates directly from Google. You don't need to unlock the bootloader, root them etc the only hassle is it wipes the phone. Most things are backed up by google anyway so reload after the change.

Thanks I'm just trying to understand how it all works as buying a nexus device i would have loved to have gotten by updates from google straight away with out mucking around

The Verizon version also comes with two pre-loaded apps and isn't necessarily updated directly by Google. The program "GN Official Update Checker", available on the Android Market can be used to detect if a phone is using a build of Android controlled by Google, therefore knowing if updates are coming from Google. Nevertheless, all Galaxy Nexus phones can be flashed with a Google-controlled version of Android.
