I'm going to agree with Harvz (mostly) here.
I've been running Miui v4 for a couple of weeks now and have found it to be pretty solid. I do think that the phone is a fraction less responsive - although that might be the mod. Also, from what I've read the reason why Samsung isn't putting ICS on SGS1 is that there's not enough space for the full package - which means the OS PLUS Samsung's interface package.
