Threaded Mode | Linear Mode

Hi there,
I'm currently using an SGS2 and am severely missing a HW keyboard.
I've been giving consideration to the Milestone/Droid 3 as an option, but there seems to be a vast array of models to choose from.
To my understanding the Droid 3/Milestone 3 are essentially the same device, with different naming only, being used for various markets.
Can someone advise which handset (model) would be the best bloatware free, non branded one to go for if I'm using a Telstra NextG sim?
