when you were pressing your blue alternate button, did it feel any different?

i just got this phone it seems to not be clicking : /

Salutary,
Sorry to take so long to get back to you, the blue button does actually feel slightly different to press, but i would not have noticed if you hadn't pointed it out. Mine does work just fine despite feeling slightly different.
To update my review on the battery life of X10 MP - Now that i am using it how I would normally, I am getting between 1 day 10hrs to 1 day 18 hrs between charges which is in effect 2 days use.

cheers,
Billy

RE: X10 mini Pro
thanks for the review. I was very hesitant about the X10 mini range and think for a device that small the physical keyboard is a must. I'm keen to have a try of one now. The wife does love her old nokia, but is starting to wish for a more connected experience. She does want something small thou!

RE: X10 mini Pro
Just wondering how the email client is like on the mini pro. Been thinking about getting it but I use my phone for email quite frequently and so far i can't find any video or photos that shows any email client/gmail on the mini pro.Dodgy

Would you be able to give me a quick review (with photos/videos if possible) for how emailing on this phone work? That'd be a crucial part in my decision making in getting this phone.Huh

Thanks!

RE: X10 mini Pro
Leemwo,
sorry but I dont really use the email client, I have a laptop that goes everywhere with me which I use for work and emails, the only email I use on the phone is to log into my email account through our webhosting webmail link (using the browser on the phone).
As I only really need to do this very occasionally on weekends, if I am waiting on an email or need to reply to something for work, i only do this once or twice a week and use the laptop the rest of the time.
Logging into my emails via the webmail link on my works hosting site works just the same as on a pc and allows me to view any new mail and reply to anything urgent.
also allows me to download attachments etc.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Cheers,
Billy

RE: X10 mini Pro
Just to let you know, I received my Optus branded 2.1 update for the X10 mini pro today, overall impression .... much smoother cleaner UI and the added apps available are great, camera seems to be sharper (quicker shutter speed?) other features of 2.1 all included, biggest plus's - the ability to send AND receive files over bluetooth - the ability to save pictures received as MMS and of course apps like angry birds.

Consider the X10 Mini Pro obsolete, already.

Expected to have an 800MHz CPU

RE: X10 mini Pro
The Xperia X10 Mini Pro has recently been updated to Android 2.1 with Sony Ericsson finally getting around to moderating the antiquated Android 1.6 OS that powered the little Android QWERTY phone when it launched year Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini pro is a long name for such a small devout still the addition of “pro” brings a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard to the table so we'll give it a pass, A physical keyboard usually adds a little bulk and heft to a device, and the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini pro is no exception. It's grown from 3.3” (83 mm) to 3.5” (90 mm) in length, but the difference in thickness with the X10 mini is negligible, which actually means thick enough already. At 4.2oz (120gr) it weighs a bit more than the Samsung Galaxy S, which has a 4” screen.

RE: X10 mini Pro
I ever used a sony ericcson x8, which is bigger than mini, but I think it is too small. If you buy it I think you will regret.
