Help..cant send mms [SOLVED]

Hi all...

Got the Galaxy S with Optus and I cant seem to send mms. It just gets stuck on sending mms.
I have tried the followin...

1. Put a 3rd party app like Handcent ... no go
2. Reset APNs...make sure all settings are correct ... no go
3. Add subject in the msg ... no go
4. Reset phone ... no go

If there is anyone else with this same problem pls let me know. I would appreciate it if u could test the mms for me thx. using DTJG4.

Go to where you have the item stored.
select menu, share, messaging, fill in the send to details.

Works for me.

I assume you have activated with Optus.

Thanks for your help but your method also doesnt work for me. I can use the data fine on the phone tho. Tomorrow Il give optus a call and see what they say. After some Googling it seems Im not the only one with this problem

just make sure your internet apn is set to internet only not internet and mms, and that your mms is just set to mms. i had that problem for a little while.

Thx for your replies...after spending almost an hour with the Optus Techie ..we finally got it working. Even he didnt know the cause. We just ended up deleting all profiles and started from scratch.

However I must say that they were extremely helpful and went out of their way to help me. :-)

Great to hear that you've finally got it working. The old "Delete and start again" huh? well now others that have this issue can see how to fix it.

Can you please put a "[SOLVED]" at the beginning of your thread's title so we know is has been fixed?

Here is the response from the Samsung site:

1. Please press Menu => Messages => Settings => Multimedia Message => Current Profile => select your network's MMS profile then Save.

2. Contact your network provider to activate your MMS service.

Then you will able to send and receive MMS, you may try to send a MMS to yourself to verify sending and receiving are both OK.
