How long do you guys think the battery will last with the screen on constantly? say watching a movie?

Also I notice a pattern with my battery
It will go from 100% to 90% in 12 hours (over night) then it is 10% every 24 hours

Is that normal? or could it be that my battery is f@#ked at 90 to 100%

mine seems to drop around 5% over night, about 8 hrs

If I leave the display on and do something like play a game/surf the net, the battery can drop by about 10% in 30mins - 1hr. This was when I first got my phone and I only had a couple apps installed such as 3G Watchdog and this "Quick Battery" widget from Android Market. This is with stock firmware of course. On average I get 10 hours battery life before it fully dies.

wow, Okay, now I know there is definitely something wrong with my battery. I get maybe 8hrs tops out of my battery. Most of the day it sits on my desk doing nothing. even changed my exchange sync time to every hour. Might have to send it off to samsung...uugh!

"Sitting on the desk doing nothing" may be a mis statement. depending on what you have syncing. Try turning off background sync and checking what other services you have auto synced. Also turn off auto screen brightness, to save power when you are powered up. Also using the powerbar widget to toggle sync and brightness manually on the homescreen helps, it's on demand use

another thing that sucks the hell out of your battery is GPS, definitely turn this off if you're not using it. As Pulp mentioned, also grab 3G Watchdog along with APNDroid, helps with keeping track of your 3G use and quick-switching 3G on & off... very useful as 3G tends to always search for a better signal if it's weak and drains a good amount of battery also.

mmm, I have GPS off, Brightness on it's lowest setting and had even tested it with background syncing off. When I had done all of that, it was at about 50% by 5pm. That's not right!

10hrs and 24 mins - 100% remaining -> 21% battery remaining... That's 79% battery used in 10hrs and 24 mins of moderate usage, (3G on always except when on wifi).
