Milestone European Version. HELP PLEASE!
Hi All,

I just purchased a 2nd hand Milestone and previous owner said it's a Euro version.

I'm having so many problems and could really use some advice/help!

There's a few things wrong with it and i've only had it for about 2 days so the first/main issue is i am unable to use the internet/browser!

Even when connected to wifi i'm still unable to browse.

It keeps trying to load but nothing.

When i boot up my phone the 3G symbol is there for a few mins/seconds and then disappears and never comes back unless i reboot, then it goes away again.

Another issue is for example a missed call, i clear it and if i turn phone off and back on it's there again!?

I have reset/wipe the hand set like 4 times and still no change (done both manual and auto reset).

Is the phone faulty? Could it be software issue?

Could i possible get like Aus software and load onto phone?

I will continue to use the phone and post any other issues that may arise.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you.

Have you checked the APNs?

Yep faulty software, probably development software

Yep, contact Motorola, they MAY give it to you.

Have you tried forcing an update via the Settings Menu

Or else try a xda; there's a hacked Milestone bootloader somewhere on the net..

Can I (only slightly sarcastically) say that I hope you didn't pay too much for it...

Thanks for the reply. paid $300 for it. when i could have gotten a new one for 350-450.

Apn shouldn't matter when on wifi though?
Wifi just keeps trying to load but nothing.

I flashed the phone to Aus 2.1 version but still the same issue.

=(

No the APN shouldn't matter, but its worth investigating these things.

If the Aussie software fails my gut feeling is that its dodgy hardware; but its hard to tell without hands-on testing..
