DROID PRO + VODAFONE
I recently bought the droid pro unlocked online, and for some reason no matter what I do cannot get the internet through vodafone. I put a telstra sim in and it worked fine once I entered the APN settings, but for some reason Vodafone is not working at all. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I might have missed, or should I just blame it on a faulty network?
I should also mention that MMS does not work either with vodafone :-S this is doing my head in! |

RE: DROID PRO + VODAFONE
Hey, the official Vodafone APNs are different to the ones everyone thinks they are, I am yet to find any website that has them the same as what the Vodafone people told me for my two phones. I was told android cannot receive the settings via install sms, but I have done it before, so i dunno. Just call them and they'll either send them to you or talk you through it. You can also ignore the instruction to set your home page to their website.
Hope you get it working! Nokia Lumia 800 | Samsung Galaxy S II | Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v |

Vodafone gave me the settings, I have done everything possible regarding the apn settings and it seems that it is the phone. I can't figure it out though! |

RE: DROID PRO + VODAFONE
Also Vodafone's MMS system is plain rubbish.
Do you have a 3G signal appearing - VF and Telstra run on different frequencies, so the hardware might be Telstra compatible but not VF. /edit How did the Pro go on Telstra? Worth looking at an import? |

RE: DROID PRO + VODAFONE
I don't have a 3G signal appearing at all. I can call and sms fine, but with the internet I can't access 3G or GPRS. After doing some reading, I should definitely be able to access vodafone 2G but 3G is uncomfirmed, either way though I should still be able to get the internet. It makes no sense. Last night I did a factory reset and now I'm having trouble with wi-fi too, after it connects the first time, it won't connect again even though it says i have wi-fi signal. This is doing my head in

RE: DROID PRO + VODAFONE
tbh I've been running a Vodafone SIM in Telstra hardware for most of this year - you won't get signal in the country, but the east-coast cities should be fine running 3G.
Which APN did you put in? Which site did you get the phone from? There is always the possibility that you bought dodgy prerelease software/hardware? |
