Motorola's Tablet
On Sunday (19 Dec) Motorola posted a video on their ShareMoto YouTube channel, the clip ["Tablet evolution presented by Motorola"] has had 800,000 hits since then.
The video depicts a long museum-esq hallway containing a round up of particular tablets from throughout history. Seven tablets are show, each with a name, date and a funny or mocking title overlaid, e.g. "Mayan Engraved Tablet" - Successful Latin American distribution, but rumoured 2012 self destruct feature. The eighth tablet shown is on a black stand branded with the Motorola M, and the tablet itself is covered by a black cloth. The clip fades and the M is joined by a bumble bee. This leads me to suspect that the tablet must be the HoneyComb based Android 2.4 or 3.0 tablet shown of by Andy Rubin a couple weeks back. Anyone have any other theories as to what it could be or any details on it? Last time Motorola went all out like this on an ad was with their Droid device which represented the best device of the time and significant improvements in Android, until the Nexus One that is. So if this ad is anything to go by, it should be a cool and well designed device.
