RE: Optus My Tab/ ZTE V9
So you had created a new folder and put all your documents in it and now it's gone after you did a reset?
Are you sure it is no where on the tab? Does the Tab have any internal storage or only external? It sounds like that since you have done the factory reset it has wiped the internal memory. Unfortunately if this is actually what has happened... you will not be able to recover your files. Unless you had taken a backup before the wipe. Phone: SGS ROM: Ryyuu's EDB v1.3 Kernel: Dark Core Modem: XXJVQ |

RE: Optus My Tab/ ZTE V9
I am hoping someone can shed some light on a little problem. I decided to get a prepaid virgin sim and put it in the tab, I did this with my SGT and changed all the relevant settings to virgin and it worked like a charm, so I thought why not the tab so we can have free calls and text to each other.
BUT for some reason I cannot get the tab to work on 3G. All settings are the same for the apn copied to the letter, it looks like there is service but there is none. Calls and msgs working but not Internet. If anyone can shed some light I'd be most appreciative. I did not unlock from optus first would this make a difference. I didn't unlock my SGT either I just thought they would work in a similar manner. Thanks |

RE: Optus My Tab/ ZTE V9
I unlocked my V9 with the ZTE blade app from the Android Market.
- install and run the app - write down the nck number provided - change SIM and enter the NCK when prompted. The Froyo (Droid 2.2)upgrade and tools is available on the ZTE site under Optus. If you are daring there is a full guide on Whirlpool to upgrade the Gingerbread (Droid 2.3) I have done this to mine using CM7 and I'm impressed!! Its a great toy for $99 (if you can find one) |

First Triple-Mode Huawei LTE Modem—E398
Huawei, a well known telecoms systems provider, launches its new Huawei E398 LTE Modem, the world's first triple-mode LTE modem supports LTE, 3G and 2G network access. The Huawei E398 is the ever first modem, that aims to supports LTE, UMTS, and GSM, therefore all three major network standards, and capable of download speeds of 100 Mb / s and underpinned the automatic switch to other standards (UMTS or GSM) where LTE is not available. This modem is based on Qualcomm chips.
![]() Huawei's E398 LTE Modem was initially unveiled at the GSMA Mobile World Congress in February 2010, and the modem showcased outstanding download speed of 100 Mb/s. Huawei E398 USB Dongle is now available from Net4Mobility in Sweden and mobilkom austria in Austria and will be released in other countries later. To suit the consumer needs of sharing these new Internet speeds, the operators have designed a firmware update which will allow their existing customers to migrate onto the 4G/LTE network. With a rapidly growing base of mobile broadband subscribers in the world, a technology such as 4G/LTE will be boosted tremendously, thanks to residential routers, just as DSL experienced nearly a decade ago. Subscribers want an always-on Internet connection which the entire household can benefit from. Employing evocative design cues that bring to mind a concept race car, the E398 USB modem enables a data transmission rate up to 20 times faster than that of existing 3G networks. At these speeds, it takes only a few seconds to finish downloading a 4GB high-definition movie using the Huawei E398 LTE Modem on an LTE network. The E398 dongle benefits from an LTE-Advanced architecture that enables seamlessly switching between the use of 2G, 3G, and LTE networks, giving users the flexibility of choosing the optimal network connection speed. Moreover, as LTE-based services continue to be rolled out, the modem will allow users to access LTE networks where they exist while maintaining a steady connection at all other times, switching to other standards (UMTS or GSM) when LTE is not available. This should be the key unique feature for the users’ convenience. The Huawei E398 is indicative of Huawei's successful customer- innovation strategy to accelerate the commercialization of ultra high speed mobile broadband across the value chain. 4G is the development of communication future direction of the mainstream, but for quite a long period of time, 2G, 3G, 4G, will exist side by side. The Huawei E398 fastest USB modem is designed to meet more and more for operators to introduce commercial services with LTE roadmap flexibility of evolution. HUAWEI enable consumers to easily experience the most leading-edge technology, while enabling the world's leading operators, simple and easy adaptation of complex network systems. |
