RE: SGS updating the firmware
I see it's XSA... Which means that it's either Virgin, Optus or Telstra variant. but running JPX? whyyy?? haha. if you are updating your firmware go to one of the newer versions (XXJPY or XWJS3) or better still, flash a custom rom. They have way more features and are much MUCH quicker.

If you just want to stay with stock Samsung though, with the singular files all you need to do is put that singular file into ODIN as the PDA, Select your .pit file and flash.

Phone: SGS
ROM: Ryyuu's EDB v1.3
Kernel: Dark Core
Modem: XXJVQ

Thanks guys but for what ever reason i cannot flash unless i use all 4 individual files,

I cannot just use the one file that goes into the PDA section in ODIN it always fails,

Can you guys suggest what C SC file and modem file i should use
